Why Do All Xbox 360's Seem To Have A Red Light Error? - How To Fix It

By Jeremiah Harvey

Ever since the XBox 360 was released there had been some issues with a Red Light error. Most common is the 3 Red Light Ring of Death. Pretty scary to know your Xbox 360 could fall victim to it at about any moment. I know from personal experience because my Xbox 360 had the 3 Red Light Error at about 6 months of owning it. And if you dont have a warranty on it then your going to have to say goodbye to your Xbox 360 for about 6 weeks for Microsoft to determine the problem and how to fix it.

The reason behind the major problem is because the Xbox 360's design makes it hard to let air flow throughout the system to be cooled properly. At least for a majority of the errors that occur. Because of the dimensions are restricted in size it is difficult to let air get through the system. Most Xbox 360's will experience this down the road.

A few tips, keep your Xbox 360 in a well ventilated area, try not to set it up against the wall or the tv. Also, do not run your Xbox 360 idle for long periods of time. Keep it clean and dust it off once in awhile.

The Xbox 360 is a good console to have but the problem is unbearable. Microsoft has tried to deal with the Red Light error problem for sometime. But, keeping customers waiting for 6 weeks to get their 'fixed console' back is a hassle. Microsoft also offers a 3 year warranty on earlier models because the problem was so common for launch systems.

The market offers a variety of manuals and repairs kits. They may be a solution to most problems and save a consumer less headache and time. The solutions are available on the net.

Some of you may have heard the term DLNA on this blog or elsewhere, and the term has been discussed recently with the 2.10 firmware update that added DivX video support. For those who arent familiar or want a refresher, DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance its basically a group of companies developing technology to make it easier to share videos, music, and photos between devices. PS3 is DLNA-compliant, so the system can talk to your PC and access media files on your PCs hard drive.

How to Copy Wii Games - Burn Wii Games Software

By Patrick Kaa

If you are an owner of a Wii console and you are reading this article there is a high probability that you have damaged your Wii games or you are looking for ways to copy wii games to protect your originals from getting wreaked. There are several things you can do to prevent your precious Wii games being damaged and all you need is a computer, some blank dvd's, and reliable wii backup software. Most likely you are thinking that burning Wii games is for geeks and gaming addicts and that you'll need to hire some nerd to do it for you, but its easier than you think. There are hundreds of sites and forums that show you how to back up all your wii games but if you are not familiar with all the jargon this can be more counter productive than helpful.

The process of copying wii games is quite straight forward, firstly you insert your Wii game into your PC's dvd writer (preferably Dual Layer compatible) and select the option on your Wii copying software to create a ISO image of your Wii game - this should take 20 - 30 mins depending on your computers CPU and Burner speeds , after the burning software has created the ISO image of your WIi game remove the game and insert a blank dvd (Dual layer dvd is recommended) into your writer then select the option to burn the Wii game ISO onto your blank dvd - when doing this it is advisable to set your burning speeds to minimum to avoid errors and the software crashing. This should take 30mins at the most depending on what software you use.

There is plenty of applications out there that can make quality backups of your Wii games and do it in a reasonable amount of time, the only problem is the price and usablility. Make sure that when you do buy software to create Wii copies that you get programs that have plenty of support and easy to follow instructions on how to use them.

Another short game review

While you can, in fact, perform the activity Recover Gamertag from Xbox Live to effectively import a fresh version of your profile to your consoleor to your friend's consoleyou should know that doing this endangers your saved games, which reside on your memory unit or Xbox 360 Hard Drive.
